Abstract

Oligometastatic disease is defined as a primary tumor with a limited number of distant metastatic sites, representing a low tumor burden. Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) provides an effective local treatment with curative intent in this setting. Clinical cases of patients with brain oligometastases treated at Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, Latina, from November 2023 to August 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients underwent SBRT with clinical and MRI follow-up every 3 months. At
a median follow-up of 6 months (range 2–11 months), overall survival was 61%. Eight out of 13 patients were alive without treatment-related neurological complications. Response to SBRT was documented through clinical assessments and post-treatment MRI scans. SBRT is an effective local therapy for brain oligometastases, positively impacting tumor control and patient quality of life.
